【内容简介】
在二次大战期间,在英国许多与家人失散的孩童都被安排到安全的乡间寄住,而Carrie、Paul与Charlie就被安排到单身女郎 Eglantine Price 乡间的宅邸来,Price小姐是一名女巫实习生,无意间被三个小孩发现了她的秘密,她只好跟他们坦承她正在接受魔法学院的函授课程,天天影视但有一天函授的教材无故停止了,Price小姐为了追求魔法上的突破,就在床柱顶端施下瞬间移动的魔法,带着三位孩童找到了学院负责人Emelius Browne,接着他们就展开一连串的旅程,终于在传说中那个由动物统治的 Naboombu岛找到“行动魔咒”的秘密,当他们回到家后,最后并且藉着魔法让博物馆里中古骑士的盔甲自由行动,吓退了想趁夜间登陆的敌军。

Plot: During WWII in England| Charlie| Carrie| and Paul Rawlins are sent to live with Eglantine Price| an apprentice witch. Charlie blackmails Miss Price that if he is to
keep her practices a secret| she must give him something| so she takes a bedknob from her late father's bed and places the "famous magic traveling spell" on it| and
only Paul can activate it. Their first journey is to a street in London where they meet Emelius Browne| headmaster of Miss Price's witchcraft training correspondence
school. Miss Price tells him of a plan to find the magic words for a spell known as Substitutiary Locomotion| which brings inanimate objects to life. This spell will
be her work for the war effort.
